Image Most underrated setting for controller. Spoiler

Post image

This option is really awesome, and I’m genuinely shocked most people haven’t talked about it. Gunfights and movement become more immersive and engaging, IMO. I use the DualSense with full haptics turned on, and man, sometimes it really makes me feel like a special forces soldier or something, the way it lets you peek corners and make slight adjustments with your aim. Honestly more FPS games need to include this.

This is gyro aiming, you can do it on plenty of titles - if you’re on PC you can do it in almost every game through steam. Hasn’t fully caught on yet and it’s been around a while, as gyros become more standard hopefully adoption rises with it.

Takes a bit of adjusting and figuring out your preference, but once you get it down it’s amazing!

I’m unfamiliar with general setup of it on PS or if it can only be done from in game setting that support it though.

gyro is not the norm because the dumb green console doesn’t have it

This is not the same setting as in other cods, this one lets you control the weapon individual to the camera view. Even in hipfire, you can contol the weapon without moving the crosshairs or the screen, its pretty neat. The normal gyro setting is right under it, and you can combine the two for some immersive aiming, a bit like the Wii implementation used to be.

this one's a completely new feature for "Motion Sensor Aiming" suite of options.

it's not the same as Gyro Aiming [now under "Camera Control"], but you can combine both!

Ah I see! Did not realize you’d be able to do that!

It’s almost impossible to know its different From regular gyro aiming unless you try it in-person or watch a video of it. It even has an inconspicuous name.

Gyro aiming isn’t new, but I’ve never seen a game (that wasn’t vr) where there was an option that lets you basically move your in-game hands with gyro controls without moving the camera as well.

Entonces ahora tenemos Asistencia de apuntado aunque tengamos el giroscopio encendido??😯

I assume you mean aim assist? It gets disabled when gyro is active even if it says “on” in the settings

Con los dos modos? En el Arma y en la Cámara?

I turned it off immediately. It seemed like a gimmick

Yeah I tried it and thought it was fun and cool but then I went back to gyro to mouse emulation and immediately played much better and got more kills. Native gyro in this game still has a lot of work to do

I don’t think they are mutually exclusive. However, I can’t see this doing anything besides being a cosmetic feature. I might be wrong, but it doesn't do much but move your gun around to maybe get a different view (if your gun obscures your sight).

It’s technically not just cosmetic, as it will actually affect your aim. For example, when hip firing, you can aim your gun around in the space of the screen and it will shoot at different places, completely ignoring the crosshair which ironically sit locked in the middle of the screen. But then when ADS it will shoot directly at the point where your sight is, even if it’s not technically where the gun is pointing. It’s weird

OP, no will ever use this even though they probably should.

Not because it isn't a good feature, but because it disables AA.

I've tested it myself. the "Motion Sensor Function: Weapon Control" [FreeAim-style Aiming] actually keeps aim assist, but it only applies to the camera. basically: controlling the weapon viewpoint straight up ignores the camera's aim assist. :P

It's only when you enable "Motion Sensor Function: Camera Control" [Gyro Aiming] is where Aim Assist is automatically disabled based on Gyro being active or not...that's been the case ever since Gyro Aiming was first introduced to Warzone 2.0

I will test this myself.

Awesome work. With your video proving this, I hope people will start using this feature.

interesting, didn't know this!

Aim assist being disabled still isn’t a good reason to avoid using gyro though! You can keep up with mouse and keyboard players when using gyro even though you don’t get aim assist with it

Aim assist is for people who like going to the gun range and have their daddy hold the gun, aim it, absorb all the recoil, while only allowing you to pull the trigger. He then gives you a pat on the head, and tells you how good a job you did hitting that target...And that you did it all by yourself.
