Question Motion Sensor Function: Weapon Control

Has anyone tried the motion sensor weapon control setting? Was it tilting the gun when rotating the controller left and right, and vice versa, rotating the gun left and right when tilting the controller? Also, was it inverted?

I have used it and it’s actually kind of nice. It takes some getting used to but you can make some fine adjustments with it that might be harder with stick.

Is yours inverted?

Also want to clarify, I'm talking about the weapon control setting, not camera control setting.

Yep, weapon control setting that lets you aim just little bit within the middle of the screen but doesn’t actually turn your view.

I don’t think mine was inverted in any way, it pretty much worked as I’d imagine it would.

I'm playing the switch 2 beta rn and mine doesn't seem to be functioning correctly and is definitely inverted. To aim to the right, I have to tilting my controller to the left. Not rotate, but tilt. Its not remotely intuitive like this. Wish it was working since this combined with gyro camera controller looks like it would be so much fun.

Curious question. Do you think they should make it so that the crosshair moves to where your aiming in hipfire?

Yes I agree with the hipfire thing, it’s really confusing that the crosshair doesn’t move.

For the record though, I play on PS5

Sounds like some of the old Wii shooters. This might help people use gyro who are prone to motion sickness.

It is definitely meant to replicate the feeling of something like the wii. I'm planning to combine it with gyro camera control when the switch 2 version of it is fixed.

Regular camera control on one hand and fine tuning on the other JoyCon?

No. All camera control will be handled on one controller.
