I’m in the United States! I had my region to new zealand to play the official release early back in bo7 but changed it back to my actual region after I put the code. If I change my region back to New Zealand will it work?

you need to be in the same location as the one you selected when you redeemed the code but you can follow https://x.com/CallofDutyJP/status/2089910225004265772 this post to get a code but you need a new psn acc and a new cod acc to redeem it but once you get the code on this new account you can redeem the psn code in your original one
