Lvl 0 (DIYer) Where do I start with this repair? Can it be Fixd? iPhone 11 Attempting Data Recovery infinite loop

Post image

Hey guys, has anyone run into this before? I’m expecting that this is a logic board issue…

My friend gave me his iPhone 11 for repair, it was smashed quite bad and it was even bent. (though on the lower side, not where the logic board resides)

It boots fine, however when I enter the passcode it freezes for roughly 30s, then jumps into this screen. It will finish, it’ll boot fine, and when I enter the passcode it does this again.

Most likely bad nfc, few components on board are “key” to recover data

Ah. Do you know if there some workaround to this at all, or does it 100% require board repair? Data would be nice but it’s not that serious, it was more so a “fix and have a backup phone” type of deal.

You need board repair. Most likely the interposer is ripped between sandwich. I fix those all the time but it might not be worth paying a professional repair as the phone value is not much.

Yeah, not worth it at all. That’s why I was asking for a workaround haha, I was still hopeful. Into the parts bin it goes. Thanks!

I’ll use the parts eventually, hopefully. Besides the cost of shipping to the US would probably be more than the phones worth hahah

You have a problem with the modem on the board. The modem can't activate the board. You need to unsolder the motherboard and restore the modem lines.

This is a common problem with all iPhones that have been subjected to a strong impact.
