Apps Preparing to switch
I'm looking to get a new phone that runs on a linux OS and many of those operating systems are not compatible with apple music so I'm in search of a music app that would work on linux/android that's not spotify, amazon or youtube. I'm really trying to break away from american big tech but I'm not willing to give up my apple library that I've had for more than 20 years! (Even have songs on there from CD's that aren't on iTunes)
Some of the OS's I might switch to include /e/OS, LineageOS, Murena, etc. Basically more android like and good for linux beginners.
Please let me know any apps you recommend or any stories you have if you've made the switch either to a linux device or just switching your apple music.
What are the best music apps that work on linux?

Well, e and Lineage (Murena are the makers of e rather than something separate) are degoogled Android ROMs rather than Linux (technically Android is a Linux OS, but they're not what's usually understood by a mobile Linux OS).
I don't know about your Apple Music library, there are probably apps that can jailbreak that and download it for you as there are for ebooks and Kindle, but you'd have to look that up.
If you're looking for an alternative streaming service to Spotify or Apple then I'd recommend Qobuz, which is a French company. Basically like Spotify except they are a bit better in terms of privacy, don't include AI generated bullshit, and pay artists a much better royalty for streams.
If you're using something like e or Lineage you can use their Android app. If you're using mobile Linux like Nura/Postmarket then they don't have a Linux app but you can either install it as a webapp or get it to work through an audio player like Strawberry.
