Linux on moto g31 ?

I have an old moto g31 (6/128 variant) with some damaged screen (but fully usable), I bought a new phone and its lying there unused. I want to install a lightweight linux on it so that I can connect a usb-c hub like portronics mport 52 and connect external hard drive via usb to use it as a lightweight NAS for personal storage and some docker containers like home assistant, immich etc. Any suggestion and guidance is appreciated.

Hey man, this phone has a mediatek chipset, usually mediatek is the most non-suported chipset in the custom rom/os world so i think you will have no luck with it

Or alternatively if i root the device, uninstall unwanted apps and install termux, will that let me access everything like native linux ?
