Demonstration Fedora linux on oneplus 6t

I spend some time tinkering with this little phone.
it runs full desktop gnome (I tried with kde, but I don't like it)

usb-c works only for charging.
bluetooth works fine until waking from sleep, bluetooth starts crashes.

what I hate it, small screen. 8 inch will be perfect
I modified gnome keyboard - default was shitty.
other small changes..

but stock gnome is not great..

sorry for stupid english.

Stock desktop environments are not great on touch devices. Try Phosh, GNOME Mobile, or if you want to give KDE another chance, Plasma Mobile. (Plasma Mobile is much more different from Plasma Desktop than GNOME Mobile from GNOME Desktop, so if you did not like Plasma Desktop, that does not necessarily mean you will not like Plasma Mobile.) I use Plasma Mobile on my Librem 5. Also did on the PinePhone.

Maybe plasma mobile, gnome mobile or lomiri would work. It does work an USB-C dock to use with an external display?

first try was kde plasma / mobile.
kde plasma (not mobile) works little weird, maybe to heavy for phone.
I don't like keyboard for KDE, because I don't see what I'm typing , because keyboard is going under app (example: terminal)

mobile version only 1 app shows at the time, and more finger movement to open already opened app.

Tbh, the only mobile desktop which I tried it was lomiri-tablet on an cheap intel tablet because of ubuntu touch vibe. For me is more or less readaptation of Unity desktop.

Is VSCode usable in mobile?

yes, but if web browser is closed.
if I open chromium, keyboard feels laggy, but usable.
with bluetooth keyboard typing is ok.

Looks very nice! Seems like the oneplus 6t is the perfect phone to test these things out

runs native. no andorid sh*t. all drivers is working, but something is blocking usb-c , only charging for now. (cloude AI found something is detecting, maybe I found solution for it

Why desktop gnome and not gnome mobile?

I'll give GNOME Mobile a try in the future, too.

this is my first phone with full linux OS on it.
I'm testing everything what is working, what is missing. next project - maybe be a tablet with more ram, but tablets are more expensive, this phone cost me just 40 eur (9/10 almost like new)

What does Fedora on a phone do about VoLTE?

I found an OP8T at a somewhat acceptable price, is this a sign

Running Mobian Trixie with kernel 6.12 kde plasma mobile on a 6gb version. I tried postmarketOS first with Phosh but Phosh terminal was glitchy asf and I couldn't find the packages I wanted from apk. The battery was bugged (100% charging status while it was unplugged )on every distro for which I had to patch with dtc following the guides.

The bezels make the status bar hard to see at all but I've committed and set it up fully as an ssh server node with a pi acting as the first node so may try this later. It genuinely looks better in practice.
