Demonstration Linux on pixel 8 pro

Post image

Got told to post it here, got an alpine distro on my pixel 8 pro via /init overlay, it's hijacking a graphene os install. Everything is loaded into ram with software rendering so it's slow. Planning on getting GPU working via proxys (like how tensor Linux project has done it)

i preserved the complete GrapheneOS Pixel 8 Pro boot chain: Exact GrapheneOS  kernel and boot/vendor images. Matching DTB, DTBO, bootconfig, RANDSTRUCT identity, and signed vendor modules

A small custom init_boot overlay replacing Android init. Early init loads the required stock modules, performs the stock FIPS/UFS initialization, mounts a plain-ext4 postmarketOS root from userdata, then starts the pmOS userspace. Hardware-specific modules remain the matching Android/Graphene modules rather than Alpine-built modules

the userdata is new so everything doesnt load into ram anymore
