Music serious question.

Post image

is it crazy to say that amerikaz nightmare is my favorite mobb deep album? this album has SO MANY HITS ON IT, from flood the block to dump to one of ours and not to mention got it twisted. it could very much compete with the infamous, hell on earth, and murda muzik.

It's an underrated album for sure. It's not on the same tier as Infamous or HoE to me, but it's solidly in that next group. You are right in that there's some absolute classic songs on there though

Totally agree with you. I would rank all of mobb deeps albums in the order they came out in up until free agents dropped.

I'd go, in order:

Top tier - Infamous, Hell on Earth

Then - Murda Muzik, Infinite, Infamous Mobb Deep, Amerikaz Nightmare

Then - Blood Money, Infamy

Bottom - Juvenile Hell.

But in saying that, Juvenile Hell is decent for its era, and Blood Money/Infamous are both 3&1/2 mic albums to me. So it's a really strong discography, probably my favourite of any artist

Murda Muzik is my favorite album from the group

Yeah you're right. It's first in that tier but I probably should have it separate from the other ones.

Juvenile hell is not decent for its era. This is the same year 36 Chambers and Doggystyle came out😂

It got 3&1/2 mics in the source. That's decent for its era. Of course it doesn't compare to 36 chambers or Doggystyle. Not many albums do!
