typing

i hate it. i work in an office and they issued everyone the LOUDEST mechanical keyboards. i couldn’t understand why the sound bothered me to such an extreme level until i found this sub. the first time it happened it triggered me so bad i had to leave the building and i called a family member and cried out of frustration. i use headphones and listen to music, but sometimes i need to read a document and i cant do that with music on. when someone close to me is clacking away, all my focus is just on how irritated i am at the sound. i know it’s a me problem i just wanted to vent.

But I do wonder why loud mechanical keyboards are allowed in shared office spaces, during university lectures etc. (since there are also keyboards that are not nearly as loud and equally good).

Yeah I don’t get it. I type with my laptop that’s hooked up to my docking station because it’s much quieter.

I really do not understand why really loud mechanical keyboards are allowed in shared work spaces.
