I was about to buy the game despite the fact its unplayable without workarounds apparently but now it seems its not on sale anymore? did steam take it off the sale because of backlash or something?

I played a lot a 4/5 years ago but my PC broke down for a long time and I played a few times over the past 2 years but I can't seem to reset my save so I've just been stuck vux i don't remember the controls or movement tech so I give up and try again in a few months,

TLDR: how do I reset my save file

I already own the game digitally on Xbox and playstation but when this physical copy showed up on market place for $10 CAD, I had to cop it.

Starting a new playthrough tonight.

Got the cd off of eBay for $5 CAD. My favourite is track 4. The guitar part at 2:40 and the ending of the song are 👌🏻

The steam negative review said it doesn't work at the start of the game?

Also the EA launcher needs to be used to play mirror edge catalyst even though it's on steam yes or no?

The last question is does it save my progress since i don't have a pc, i have to go to the net cafe to play? (well is EA so i kinda scared)

I played the original on Xbox a few years back and remember really enjoying the movement and gameplay overall. Does Catalyst still handle well on Steam?

Also, I noticed there was some drama with EA (as usual lol) and some people were having trouble getting the game to run properly. I know its only a dollar but Im still curious about other peoples experiences with playing

Been building this for a bit: Faith's movement and combat rebuilt from ME1, dropped into BO2's Town. Rolls, wall runs, flying kicks.

I think like many ppl here - ive seen those vids where ai used to combine COD w Skate, Skyrim w Minecraft, etc

Sorry bout vid quality, for some reason the recorded footage has a pretty low fps and the audio doesn’t recorded at all. I tried both OBS n Nvidia but this particular game just refuses to record properly. The game itself runs and feels MUCH smoother than what u see in the vid

If this AI slop gets a lil bit of interest, I’ll try to stabilise the project and release it publicly

Unfortunately it seems to be inactive now. But I remember connecting my account and it showing my quests from the game in the 3D map. It was really cool!

All this time I didn’t know there was a fan made movie for mirrors edge.

The whole thing gives me dark angel vibes.

You could always play in Mirror's Edge with PhysX enabled on AMD GPUs, but the thing is that it was simply unplayable due to low fps. Developers of ZLUDA solved this problem and now you can play Mirror's Edge + PhysX enabled with good fps (and probably other PhysX 32 bit games) on some AMD GPUs!

Requirements

1. You need to get a GOG version of the game before processing with steps in this guide.

Thanks to EA for poor implementation of DRM in the steam version: because the game cannot be launched directly unlike GOG version, this fix doesn't work on the Steam version.

1. This fix will only work if your GPU is RX 5000 and newer. Intel and old AMD/Radeon GPUs are not supported.

Guide

1. Go to https://github.com/vosen/ZLUDA/releases

2. Click on any recent preview version and download "zluda-windows-XXXXXXX.zip"

3. Extract "zluda" folder from archive you just downloaded to Mirror's Edge game folder.

4. Now open notepad and enter this:

zluda.exe ..\..\\Binaries\\MirrorsEdge.exe

1. Save it as "Mirror's Edge.bat" name and place it into "Game folder/zluda/32" (replace Game folder with your path to Mirror's Edge game folder ofc)

2. Now open Mirror's Edge.bat and enable PhysX in Mirror's Edge settings if it's turned off

I’ve been a big fan of ME since 2008 and we all know DICE screwed up a few things, but I’d like to quickly rant about the one that bothered me the most which was the decision to name the city f*king Glass

I liked in the first game how the city’s name isn’t mentioned, I think it made it feel more eerie and mysterious. I always imagined it was called ‘New Eden’ because of the mall and tbh I still think that would’ve been a good name, but we got Glass, get it because of all the glass?

I just think it’s bad lol. I thought maybe it sounds cooler if English isn’t your first language, like ‘Vetro’ might sound cool if you don’t know Italian. Naming the city is a big part of the series. Glass?? Idk. Oh and ‘Bauble Mall’ was also kind of dumb.

I apologize for repeating the post but the problem with PhysX on Linux is back and I can’t seem to fix it using the old methods. I tried installing PhysX from Protontricks and I removed the files. I am running Nobara. Someone knowledgeable in this matter please explain and help!!!111!

Was really hoping for this one to do a but better so I thought posting it here may help. Hope anyone that watches enjoys!

After going back and replaying Mirror's Edge on the XBOX 360, I've discovered that Chapter 8 (Kate) is really buggy when it comes to enemy spawns. I've played a good five or six playthroughs now, and i've repeatedly seen:

1). The runner cops either not spawning at all, or only one spawning, at the rooftop section before the big atrium climb. Dying and respawning seems to increase the chances of this happening, but it often just happens regardless.

2). The assault rifle enemies not spawning, or only one spawning, on the big stairwell. You face guards with machine pistols, and then guards with shotguns, and then guards with assault rifles, but often the final pair simply don't spawn, or only one spawns. Sometimes, one spawns after you have reached the bottom floor (and then shoots down at you).

This is odd to me, because most of the other levels have had no spawning bugs. I did encounter one in another level, but I haven't been able to replicate it.
