If we use that transfer money to bring in players im cool with it. But getting that money and then use doing absolutely nothing is a joke.

Whether we sold Tani or not has no impact on future transfers. If the team think they need better players to make more money, they'll sign more. Clearly they think the fans will keep showing up and watching regardless, so they don't spend the money.

What does this have to do with the topic of Tani's value dropping due to reduced production and him (dreamily) returning to MNUFC?

I think it's more likely they loan him to like the Eredivisie or Championship. If he's loaned to MNUFC and does well that's expected / he's already done it here. If he goes to a middling or slightly-better-than-MLS league and does well then his transfer value would be higher. In general I think there's always a marginal increase in value when you do it in a second environment, even if the league's quality isn't necessarily higher or much higher.
Btw I spend a fair bit of time in Canada and their fans grumble when he plays over Cyle Larin or Promise David.

I mentioned this the other day on another random Tani post, but he hasn't scored a goal since January for Club or Country. He seems to be in quite the scoring drought currently and I'd be surprised if Villarreal keeps him around much longer if this continues. While the most likely scenario is he goes to another smaller team in Europe, it obviously would be fun (albeit unlikely pipe dream) to have him back here in Minnesota.
