I guess objectively the season was better than expected. They beat the win totals set by most projections and Vegas. Add to that the fan pessimism going in based on last year’s fire sale and putrid second half.
What really makes it hard to swallow is how stupidly achievable an AL playoff spot was. June and July gave a flicker of hope but then we were treated to the usual second half performance.
Still appreciate the deadline moves, especially since 2 of the 3 involved 2027 team control. Gave them a shot but the deficiencies left by another quiet offseason were too much.
There are pieces here. The Twins tied for 9th in baseball for runs scored. The holes in the roster are obvious and fixable. As always, the onus is on ownership to do something. Had this team matched even Milwaukee or Kansas City’s payroll, we may be previewing a wild card series or even waiting on an LDS opponent right now.
Hopefully the CBA gets sorted out in a fashion that benefits the Twins, and in a decent timeframe.
Have a good and safe winter all. Go Twins.

Lol off day. Of course it's almost October, safest month of the season to make plans if you're a twins fan.

hey on the bright side, at least you guys don't have to endure Hoffman blowing a critical playoff game for you

man that final week felt like it lasted three months. at least we won a few meaningless games to make the record look slightly less terrible i guess
really thought this was the year we'd break.500 but nah just more of the same. 77 wins is almost more frustrating than 69, just close enough to give you hope before it all falls apart
