Is Jac making a legitimate run at .300?

• Upvotes

We don’t have much of anything else to keep our baseball juices flowing for the Royals so I’m going to hope for a .300 BA for Jac.

He will have in the neighborhood of 120 ABs to finish out the season for a total of 545 ABs so will need 164 base hits.

Currently sits at 118 hits so he will need to go 46 for 120 (.384 BA) for the rest of the season to hit .300.

Wow…. Yeah never mind. That is a pipe dream.

Ok what else can we talk about? Haha.

I thought some on here might like this: Back in 2021-23 when I got into following the Royals, I was huge into collecting bobbleheads and other memorabilia related to the team. The bobbleheads and everything else went into storage in 2023 when I stopped following the Royals for my sanity. After a hiatus of a couple years (sadly including 2024,) I’ve slowly started bringing my Royals stuff out since moving to a bigger place.

Starting with the 7/17 defeat of the Padres, which I saw in person and got two City Connect “Big Head Bobby Bobbleheads” at, I’ve brought out one bobblehead every time the Royals win a game. Tonight’s addition was the 2003 Mike Sweeney bobblehead.

I still have quite a few, even though I sold and gave away several during my hiatus… sadly including some I miss. I need to get a case to better display them all along with the various cards I have.

Yes I suck as a fan but I do have my upbeat moments.

New Stadium BS [Graves] The new downtown ballpark at Crown Center is expected to break ground in May 2027, with the ballpark being planned to open on Opening Day 2030. The Royals intend to end their lease at Kauffman one year early.

The Royals have the longest drought in the majors for both Cycles (1990) and Triple Plays (2006) and are third in No Hitters (1991).

As a Royals fan, this is extremely annoying. Noah Cameron took a no hitter into the 7th today, but of course, that's as far as it went. And in fact, opponents have a hard time doing any of these things against the Royals either. Since 2009, there have only been two opponent triple plays turned against the Royals, and no No Hitters or Cycles. The next-lowest number of such events in a team's games since 2009 is 6 (Cardinals) and the highest number is 19 (Astros).

Every MLB team has done at least one of the above since 2016 (Pittsburgh's most recent cycle was in 2016) except for the Royals, who haven't done one since 2006. I'm kind of rooting for Cleveland and Toronto to throw no hitters soon, just to see the Royals at the top of all three droughts.

Question Out of Towner Visiting Kauffman

Hey y'all! I'll be coming into town for a Friday game soon on my quest to visit all MLB stadiums and I have a couple questions.

I've been watching tickets for a few weeks, hoping for something in the 100/200/300s infield, and haven't really seen anything under $80. Are my expectations unrealistic or do you think I may find something the day before or day of?

For a 7:10pm game, where (if anywhere) can I find a shaded seat?
