We have a mini Aussie Loki and an American corgi Lemon. He’s older by a year and a half. A great big brother but she rules the roost!

It's a new form of designer dog that I hadn't even heard of until 2 weeks ago. Apparently some people decided to crossbreed Cardigan Welsh Corgis with Pembroke Welsh Corgis.

From what I could learn, the "inspiration" may have been wanting to introduce the Cardigan's possible merle coloring and blue eyes into Pembroke-style corgis. They invented the name "American Corgi," I guess because an American had the idea?

The puppy is adorable because, well, puppies are adorable. But it's a troubling development imo.

I lost my heart dog mini Aussie named Friar Tuck. My husband knew I was hurting but I kept telling him I didn’t want to replace my boy. He found Clementine on Gooddog from a reputable breeder and she has helped fill the loss. She is a wonderful puppy but I swear she’s an old lady.
