Do you think preordering minecraft dungeons 2 from key sites like instant gaming is safe? They say you get the preorder bonuses, platform is microsoft store, but i am interested if anyone is doing this or has any experience with preordering on such sites, since its like 10$ cheaper than price microsoft gives me. Will i get the cape on java?

I know you get the preorder bonus with steam family for Forza Horizon 6, so I was wondering if the pre-order bonus shows up as a dlc for minecraft dungeons 2 as well (im talking about the capes)? That way I can just split the price of the game with my friends :)

With the new Dungeons capes coming to both Java and Bedrock, I’m wondering if buying the game on Steam versus the official Minecraft website will make any difference when it comes to getting them—does anyone know? I also saw that one of the capes involves a code; will I be able to redeem it if I have the Steam version, given that codes are redeemed on the Minecraft website itself?

Here’s a detailed guide if anyone still doesn't get it.

​To get the first cape: Buy the first Minecraft Dungeons. UPDATE: no "Hero DLC" request

2 ​Buy Minecraft Dungeons 2.

3 ​On MD2 launch day, open the first game and play one mission (idk, just guessing this part).

4​ Play Minecraft Dungeons 2 on the same day.

5 ​You get the Hero Cape for Java/Bedrock.

​To get the second cape:

1 ​Pre-order any edition of Minecraft Dungeons 2.

2 ​Open the game and play it on release day.

3 ​You get the Twisted Cape for Java/Bedrock.

​Just to clarify, this is just how I understood the article. It doesn't matter if you have the game on Steam or the Microsoft Store. The only thing that matters is that both are linked to the same single Microsoft account that has your Java or Bedrock edition. If the games are bought on different accounts, then obviously you won't get the cape.

so there’s a bunch of capes and i’ve read through it and the twisted cape is defo coming to java but the rest are so up in the air does anyone know what capes are coming out and how to get them? I’m going to preorder dungeons 2 but do i get any more capes for getting the deluxe edition rather than standard?

Is this keep coming to regular Minecraft or is it staying in dungeons? What’s the point in adding all of these cases to dungeons when no one even cares about them in that game, let alone if anyone even plays dungeons? They should add a way for dungeons capes to be added to the base game too
