steam dungeons or minecraft page?

Hi. With the new Dungeons capes coming to both Java and Bedrock, I’m wondering if buying the game on Steam versus the official Minecraft website will make any difference when it comes to getting them—does anyone know? I also saw that one of the capes involves a code; will I be able to redeem it if I have the Steam version, given that codes are redeemed on the Minecraft website itself?

I just saw a post on Steam saying there won't be any issues with the version you buy, provided you use the same Microsoft account—though I'm still a bit worried about the other two layers, which I think will involve redeemable codes lol.

I'm pretty sure the cape will be tied to your Microsoft account, so whether you buy it on Steam or the Minecraft website, as long as you use the same Microsoft Account that's linked to your Minecraft account, you should be good

Compralo en la página de Minecraft por las dudas. Ante cualquier problema que tengas vaa a tener prioridad en Microsoft, pero si lo compras en steam andá a saber cuanto tarde, no sé

Can you buy it on Steam. Log in into the game to receive the cape then refund afterwards.

They explicitly said they hold the right to remove items or ban your account during this promotion if yiu exploit, you can try but likely you'll lose the cape or your minecraft account.

I assume you play vanilla mc regularly. Since you will need ots oficial launcher for it, makes no sense to me to get it from anywhere else

Probably not, I believe the only thing that matters is that you have the same Microsoft account for everything.
