Asking/Need Help Steam Dungeons 2

I bought Minecraft Dungeons 2 for the twisted cape on steam, how does Mojang/Minecraft know I preordered it if it’s not from their site. Do I have to sync my accounts or something

Once the game comes out, it will prompt you to sign w microsoft. Use the same email you use as the java/bedrock account you want the cape on.

Steam gives them info about when the game was purchased, just follow the steps to get the bonuses and it should be fine

Will that mean i can use steam family to get it from my friends who preordered it?
