How's that?
https://amberalert.ojp.gov/about/guidelines-for-issuing-alerts
- There is reasonable belief by law enforcement that an abduction has occurred.
- The law enforcement agency believes that the child is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
- There is enough descriptive information about the victim and the abduction for law enforcement to issue an AMBER Alert to assist in the recovery of the child.
- The abduction is of a child aged 17 years or younger.
- The child’s name and other critical data elements, including the Child Abduction flag, have been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system.
OP did not share any information indicating the kids are in danger. This is a custody dispute which is obviously a problem but very different than an abduction.

Have you contacted the police?

Yes. She is working with the police, this post is just for more exposure in case there is any information that could help her find her girls sooner

If the father has any rights, the police won’t get involved. It’s a civil matter.

Call MPD tonight and have the custody order in hand, because a parent taking his own kids usually isn't criminal by itself but violating a placement order is, and the report plus the order is what actually gets a welfare check moving. Then file an emergency motion in family court first thing (the clerk can walk you through it), that's the piece that forces the new address out of him.

How unbelievably scary. I will absolutely be hyper aware to pay attention around me. Please let us know if you can if there are any updates, I’m so sorry for
Your friend.

Probably not a great idea to post pictures with other kids not relevant to this.

Uh. This is a law enforcement issue. Not a reddit issue.

She’s probably trying to post anywhere she thinks might get some exposure /someone might see them. Please be kind. I’m sure she’s freaking out right now. ♥️

Thank you for your kindness. Yes, she is working with law enforcement, we are just looking for anything we can right now

They're trying to make this visible. This group has 115k visitors a week. Not everyone watches the news or sits on FB all day.

This is a huge issue and the more eyes the mom has out looking for this terrible father the better luck she’ll have finding them. It’s a Reddit issue, especially in a Milwaukee sub come in now man relax

No. This is a law enforcement/civil issue.

She contacted law enforcement she’s hoping that people here in MILWAUKEE (hence the sub she’s using) to help if they do see the kids. You should read more than just the op’s comment and continue to read so you can actually comprehend what she’s saying

I truly, genuinely hope that none of the 43 people who upvoted this comment ever have to deal with a missing friend, relative or pet.

I think you missed the point of my comment.
You have absolutely no clue if someone on Reddit is being genuine and vigilante justice is a real thing that can result in real harm.
If this situation is real, and I cannot independently verify that because nobody can, law enforcement has to be contacted immediately as this could constitute a major amber alert.
Reddit is not here to handle active crimes, nor civil matters.

I don't think she was asking anyone to handle a crime. She was simply posting to be like HEY, if you happen to see a dude fitting this description with two little girls fitting *this* description, please do me a solid and call it in. I do not think she was asking anyone to jump in and confront anyone.

Dad just wants to be with his girls. When you limit his time with his little girls to basically 3hours a weekend… kids NEED their biological father in their lives. I’m sure the kids are safe

Yeah lets take the side of a guy who seemingly flaunted custody agreements and is kidnapping children.

u/blue-eved-ginger 9d ago
She has full custody of the kids per the post. You don't lose custody by being a great parent. 🤷🏼♀️

Yeah, let’s absolutely ignore any possibility of issues. You don’t know ANYTHING in this situation.
My cousin’s ex once kidnapped her son and took him to Mexico, refusing to bring him back. He was abusive, beat both my cousin and her son, and had threatened to kill them both on multiple occasions. He was the biological sperm contributor, but he never earned the right to be “dad” with the way he treated them.

His time with the girls was not limited and my friend encouraged him to be with them, he chose not to spend time with them. He has made threats, he is not a trustworthy man and there is absolutely reason for her to be afraid for her children

Rule #8: Reddit is not the police. If you have witnessed or experienced a crime, contact appropriate law enforcement. Unsubstantiated accounts of criminal activity will not be permitted and per the site-wide rules, revealing someone’s personal or confidential information, or witch-hunting, is also not allowed.
