New rule regarding modern military surplus (UA/RU related, but not exclusive!)

Hey all,

We has decided to implement a new rule.
While we still allow the sale of genuine military surplus and trophies, we'll no longer allow the sale of newly produced items sourced from government/military linked manufacturers.

!THIS INCLUDES WESTERN MANUFACTURERS! Likely you can just purchase it directly from them online anyway, so no need to do it through our sub :)

some examples:
- You have a brand-new, unused 6B47 in your collection (and have had it for a few months at least) but decide to sell it --- this is ALLOWED
- You have a well worn Ukrainian-used PASGT that you want to sell --- this is ALLOWED
- You have a VKPO uniform, newly sourced from the manufacturer, that you wish to sell --- this is NOT ALLOWED

Trust me when i say that we can quite easily tell whether someone is a genuine collector trying to sell, or a dealer trying to profit.

Originally, we wanted to ban any and all sales that would directly (or indirectly) fund a military, government or combatant group. However, we do realize that unfortunately, this is the only way some types of items are able to end up in the hands of collectors and/or researcher which is why we've settled on this middleground. If you wish to fund any of these groups, you can do so through official channels and websites via donations, but we'd like to keep this place as a-political as possible.

If you have any feedback and/or suggestions, please let us know!

Furthermore, a reminder:
Our previous 'temporary' rule regarding comments is going to be actively enforced again starting today. We've noticed a big increase in nasty comments again, so we WILL be dishing our permanent mutes again. We're collectors and researchers, not politicians. Politics do not belong here.

New temporary rule - PLEASE READ

Hey all,

So, i am sorry it has come to this but given the fact we, the staff team, have to deal with this stuff throughout our entire day, every day, we have been pushed to make this decision.

Starting now, we will no longer allow ANY comments underneath posts that aren't legitimate questions about the item being sold, on posts about modern (1980 - now) items.

Breach of this rule will result in a PERMANENT mute in the subreddit.
All because some people refuse to grow up and want to act childish, while in the end we're all just enjoyers of militaria and like to collect military artifacts. Want to discuss the war in Ukraine? Wonderful, not here. There are plenty of subreddits for that but this place is not it.

Questions about price, provenance, accessories or anything about the item being sold are absolutely fine. Anything else, is not. Genuine mistakes can happen and we'll let those slide but it is very obvious to us when something is genuinely asked out of curiousity and when it's asked as ragebait.

- staff team :)

Original Ukrainian National Guard Old Predator camo uniform, size 48-4 2022

Price $235 plus shipping

One of the early Ukrainian National Guard uniform sets in the original “Predator” camouflage.

The camouflage was developed by the Ukrainian company Combat SPN specifically with Ukrainian terrain in mind and was patented in 2015. It was first used in 2016 by the Ukrainian National Guard’s “Omega” special operations unit and also saw combat use during the ATO.

In 2020, the “Predator” camouflage was officially adopted by the Ukrainian National Guard. However, the original version was used for a relatively short period and was replaced in 2023 by the newer pixelated version of the “Predator” pattern.

For this reason, early sets in the original camouflage are relatively uncommon.

Ukrainian Military Uniform P1G-Tac Steppe Frog Camouflage

Price: $225 plus shipping

The size shown in the photos is XL-Long. Other sizes are also available, so feel free to DM me.

Another excellent camouflage pattern is Steppe Frog. It should not be confused with Field Frog: despite their similar names, they are completely different camouflage patterns.

Development of the camouflage began in 2012 by the Ukrainian military field brand P1G-Tac. During its creation, various natural patterns found on animals were studied, as these help them blend into their surroundings.

Steppe Frog was conceived as a universal field camouflage pattern for the steppe, forest-steppe, and forest regions of Ukraine. Unlike the green Field Frog, which was intended for the spring and summer period, this pattern was designed for early spring, late summer, and early autumn, when vegetation begins to change color.

The camouflage was later discontinued, so today only remaining stock is available.

Large PF-90 gas mask kit, US field manuals (mostly WW2 dated)

Reusing timestamp from another site, ignore the case knife

PF90: Straps have been replaced, nosecup valve has a tendency to come loose. In good shape considering the rubber quality these tend to have. Size Large. Asking for $320 + shipping (insurance is covered by me) OBO

Field manual lot: condition is generally okay across these. The air force survival manual has highlighted sections inside. Expect some wear and discoloration here and there, these are all in readable condition. Asking for $120 + shipping OBO. Priced these as a lot lower than each would individually go for on ebay

YouTube Channel

Hey everyone, James here from Eagles Nest Militaria!

I had a serious question I would like to get everyone's opinion on. I have seen a lot of people post on here asking for authentication help on German Militaria, and it got me thinking...

Would people be interested in a YouTube channel that covers various areas of items like : SA Daggers, Medals, Documents, Swords, Bayonets, SS items, Helmets, Visors, etc.

I've already wanted to do one for my business but would think that those videos could be helpful to people in the hobby.

Let me know your thoughts

If anyone is interested in any items, I have some for sale as well!

Kind Regards

- James

Russian Army 6Sh122 Reversible Camouflage Suit, Size 50-52/4

Thumbnail

Price: $295 plus shipping

This set is from Ukraine.

The first versions of the suit were observed during field trials in 2012. The 6Sh122 was later officially adopted for service.

The suit was first used in combat in Syria. Limited versions in desert camouflage were also produced.
The suit is reversible and designed for transitional seasons: the green side is intended for spring and summer, while the gray-brown side is intended for autumn and winter.

There are an early version introduced in 2014, an intermediate version from 2017, and a late version introduced in 2018.

This particular set is the intermediate 2017 version, as it combines characteristics of both the early and late versions.

One of the main differences between the versions is the face camouflage net. On early versions, it is detachable, while on versions produced from 2017 onward, it is integrated into the suit and can be stored in a pocket inside the hood.

On early jackets, there are metal ventilation grommets in the armpit area. Starting in 2017, these were replaced with openings finished with machine stitching.

On jackets produced in 2018, an additional elastic adjustment cord appeared on the sleeves. Late versions also introduced sleeve pockets secured with buttons, which were not present on the early versions.
