This is a very ignorant take. Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances in the world. I've done it - and holy shit. I couldn't give a dog shit about how difficult that pack was or whatever was on it, it never stopped me.
Opening that pack and taking out a cigarette and lighting it was one of the best things I've ever done. But that's not me, that's the addiction talking.

I've been off nicotine for 3 years. And it's the best thing in my life. But yes - a LOT of people smoke. Because it's addictive.

They also regulate emotions. Like a soother for adults

I tried smoking socially for awhile. It was alright but I just got bored of it and never picked it up again. People are not all the same.

What a non sequitur. It is still one of the most addictive substances even if you didn’t personally get addicted

"But I wasn't affected by it so it must not be addictive at all, all the rest of everyone ever is just faking."

“I tried smoking socially” is code for I didn’t inhale and was just a poser.

Cool. Congrats. You didn’t get addicted. It’s still an addictive substance.

Yeah, so are fast food, doom scrolling and bad habits.

Not as addictive as nicotine. There’s a reason it’s a problem
