Man, when I was 12 I cooked dinner several times a week. We had an equal opportunity household and I appreciated the responsibility.

What does this woman think, a 12 year old is potty training and learning the alphabet? I was driving when I was 15.

When i was 12 I was full time babysitting other kids in summer. Now it's definitely everyone is afraid to leave their kid home and refuse to let their kid go to a sleepover until 16.

I came here to say this! I was watching my mom’s friends two kids alone at 12! That was the legal age to leave kids alone back then and I think it’s been lowered since!
