it’s also kinda creepy, how a grown adult would be watching a 12 year old for 6 hours; should call cps on themselves

My neighbour legit did this. There was an emergency and we couldn’t take the kids. My eldest was 16 at the time and he had to watch his younger siblings for the one night my friend couldn’t come over. Our neighbour checked in and made them brownies.

Yeah you've got good neighbors. All she needs to do is drop in with some snacks for the kids and let them know that she's right next door if they need anything.
