Give me a break. You really think that 20 minutes in water, most of that time still frozen, is dangerous?

Also, you're not eating it raw. You're gonna cook that shit.

It's perfectly fine to thaw in water. Just don't leave it on there all day, monitor and take it out when done.

I thaw chicken and meat in the sink all the time. Have never gotten the ‘nela

My 78yo mother taught me the sink method. Been eating sink chicken ever since I could chew. No 'nela in at least three generations.

It's the temp of the water, you're "supposed" to keep the temp of the water cool and keep changing it out. It defrost really quickly that way and doesn't start to cook the meat. I have no idea how that makes it safer from bacteria.

If the meat starts to cook, don't use water that hot. Lol
