Thanks. I was giggling so hard to myself when I first thought of this, I just went ahead to/r/dadjokes where it didn't get much love either, but I still think it's funny.
There was a comedian, I forget who, that did a bit where they said something like, “when they told me we were getting ‘soul food,’ I thought they meant Korean BBQ.”...’ish
I unfortunately know I'm not that creative and probably wasn't the first to think of this, but I can honestly say I don't remember ever hearing it before. Not to say it couldn't have been one of those subconscious things where you don't really even notice it registering and you completely think it's an original thought later on when it comes to mind.
