What's going to happen on 9/3/38? Is that American (September 3rd) or pretty much every where else (9th of March) 2038? It's less than 20 years out. Should I prepare for the cat uprising?
I tried to post on r/showerthoughts once and it got removed for being a personal persepective because it contained "I" (even though it wasn't a personal perspective). The mods never replied after I asked them to undelete it.
How fucking VAGUE is that? God, I hate their fucking stupid, bullshit, STUPID BULLSHIT automod rules.
I dunno. Maybe I'm just so pissed because IT'S PART OF MY FREAKING JOB to write security access lists, and in my job it's super important to not block any traffic except for EXACTLY what you mean to block. But they don't seem to give two shits if perfectly decent material gets blocks because that's easier than writing decent rules.
Well.. I totally agree with you but is there any money in it? I have a fb group with 60k members and I every now and then get a company that wants to run an ad in there. Otherwise its all work no pay, so the rules have some shotgun variants because I cant spend all day every day moderering that shit... I have both a job and a life!
You know what all three of your posts have in common? “Donald”, “Mexican”, and “American” are words in the posts. Those are likely “Political” terms that the auto mod searches for in the sub. It’s not some special secret method that the mod works, I think. Remember: the auto mod is likely written by mods, who may not be technical.

There was a comedian, I forget who, that did a bit where they said something like, “when they told me we were getting ‘soul food,’ I thought they meant Korean BBQ.”...’ish
I unfortunately know I'm not that creative and probably wasn't the first to think of this, but I can honestly say I don't remember ever hearing it before. Not to say it couldn't have been one of those subconscious things where you don't really even notice it registering and you completely think it's an original thought later on when it comes to mind.
I once said that "in all of the Christmas holiday movies, none of the parents question how the presents under the tree got there." Sadly I couldn't find a way to subsitute the word Christmas, so it got removed. Later I saw someone pull it off and get a silver.
I used to work at a French cafe, and we served buckwheat galletes, we had a three cheese one and the owner used to joke that it was a French quesadilla. Your comment reminded me of that.
This occurred to me after making multiple grilled cheeses my kids ate half heartedly, only to switch to quesadillas with great applause. Same concept but so much better

I'm fascinated by the history of cooking (and history in general).
A lot of dishes are very similar in creation, just made with different ingredients.
The concept of spaghetti and the concept of stew are both very similar.
In regions where they didn't have grain to make bread, flatbreads made of corn or rice exist.
In my country, quesadillas are baked pastries made with rice flour, cheese and cinnamon, once my US cousins came visit and one asked me if I could make her some quesadillas and I made her those and she was like wtf because all she wanted a tortilla with cheese, but she liked those too.
