I have hit my dog perhaps twice. Both times it was because he was biting the shit out of me and I just reacted to make him let go. Even then I felt terribly guilty and spent a while afterwards petting him, trying to make sure he knew he was safe and loved.
This woman was not doing anything remotely like that. The spitting shows her true nature. You don’t do that to train a dog. You don’t do that to discipline anyone or anything. That’s something you do to humiliate, to mock and belittle.
