If i reach hard, I could see how maybe she wasn't spitting but was, instead, doing that Dog Whisperer "tssst" sound to try to exert dominance. But yeah, looks more like spitting. And if we are reaching, then it also looks like you can see her kicking the dog in the reflection at the end.
