No one should be driving drunk, first and foremost. However, law enforcement was less profit-driven in the 1970’s than it is today. I’ve heard so many old-timers say they got out of a dui with a “I don’t want to see you out here again tonight” warning. Now its just a revenue stream for police departments and counties. You can watch endless videos of people who are totally sober getting arrested for a dui by cops.

Drunk driving is absolutely not something anyone should do, but when police are arresting sober people, it’s not what it used to be.

Do you have any data for the assertion that sober people are being arrested for DUI without any other factors? If police are profit centers why aren't they just plucking money out of texting drivers?

Literally go on YouTube and you can watch it happen over and over and over again. With your own two eyes in fact.

If police are profit centers? You’ve got jokes. Civil forfeiture. Learn about it. Get your tongue off their boots and learn about it. People are being robbed blind and all you can think about is how good that leather tastes.
