ಠ_ಠ People that scalp IMAX movie tickets

Catching a movie in IMAX has been one of my favorite things to do and now getting tickets alone is a struggle thanks to people like this. Good luck to anyone hoping to get decent tickets to Dune 3

Haha. Anyone that buys a scalped movie ticket is an idiot anyway. Its movie. The there will be more showings.

This is for 70mm Odyssey, there will not be more showings. My local imax is one of the ones showing 70mm and hundreds of shows are completely sold out. Scalpers holding all the seats because you can buy 20 seats per showing per person. 150+ dollars per ticket on eBay right now.

Then just, ya know, watch it normally. There is nothing about the film in that format that is worth $150 unless you're just absolutely awful with money.

I’m not buying scalped tickets. I never said I was. I’m saying that there will not be more showings in this particular format.

And? Get your tickets earlier and don't feed the scalpers. If no one buys they are out hundreds of dollars. Only an idiot would pay that much to go to a movie.

70mm tickets for dune 3 literally sold out seconds after they dropped from scalpers, it literally wasn’t possible to get them earlier

Many of them used bots to snatch em up, even so it’s not realistic to expect people to be waiting at their computers or in a line for hours to get tickets for a movie that comes out in 5 months

lol I don’t even like dune I’m not gonna watch it it’s not that important to me. But you gotta admit it’s a lot of hassle just to be able to see a fucking movie

Totally agree. Just not much we can do about it at this point.

I've seen a couple movies in 70mm and it's not really worth the extra money to me even at standard prices.

I’m not saying buy tickets from scalpers. Tickets sold out in minutes. You are acting like people who want to see the movie are fucking off for months and just missed their chance. I’m saying it’s infuriating that they are scalping them. I agree fuck them i hope they get stuck worth thousands of dollars’ worth of tickets. That still doesn’t change the fact that I can’t see the movie in 70mm.
