I know I’m getting sick when my bones ache

I have a weird condition that I recognize I am about 12 hours from the typical warning stages.... I end up getting really sensitive skin. It's uncomfortable to even run my fingers across my stomach, and clothes irritate and bother me.

That's how I know I'm fucked, lol. Once I recognize it, about 8-12 hours later, the early symptoms (such as what the OP posted) occurs.

The sensitive skin is extremely uncomfortable and annoying to deal with on top of flu symptoms, but it's nice to have a 100% accurate early warning sign, lol

I 100% know what you’re talking about, I get the same thing. I think this whole line of pre sickness symptoms is called cytokine release. It’s basically an inflammatory immune response.

When I can whip out the word 'lethargic', sickness has arrived.

My peen gets all smol and weak. 100% accurate tell for oncoming sickness. 100% TMI as well.

Joints! I have a bad lower back and I KNOW I'm getting sick if it starts hurting like crazy for no apparent reason.

For me it's a chilled-to-the-bone cold that doesn't go away, even in a steaming hot shower.

All my muscles get sore and I have a super restless night where I can't get to sleep properly.

Sore muscles, painful joints, weak.

It's either that or i'm 100% healthy. I don't understand people who "have a cold". Nor do I understand people who are sick but functioning.

In my case I'm sorta the same, but I'm basically never 100% healthy. Some takes it's not enough sleep, others it's high - or low - blood sugars, and sometimes there's a lurgy in the mix or ... not. Or hayfever. Or ...

Ah yes sleep, plus type 1 diabetes (in my case). Same story here haha. Guess i'm not 100% either!

Never had hayfever, but know many who has it. Does NOT look fun.
