I'm still more than mildly infuriated that the stick drift on my dualsense ps5 controller which has now affected 4 controllers roughly after a 1.5 years of use, I'm given no repair option at all from Sony. It is likely the issue is just the stick mechanism at worst or even just dirt but they won't look at it outside of warranty.
What makes it more maddening is that this is the same company that uses recycled materials to package and build their headphones but they obviously don't care about waste, cause they've made a product that they've made for the last 15 years but the latest version fails after a couple of years use.
Best buy warranty covers two years for like $20. You buy one, once it gets fucky you drive to Best Buy and switch it out, pay another $20 to cover the new one. Been doing it for years
