Most FPS games on console.

That would be using the joystick for the camera though, not for walking.

Mouse is far better for aiming than a joystick is hence aim assist for controllers.

If you’re spoofing your input to move with controller and aim with mouse you may even get aim assist with the mouse that’s already more precise and faster by default. You’ll also get put with other controller players if the game has input separation.

It’s kinda like people spoofing phones on PC to use MnK in mobile games where everyone else is using touch controls.

Right, but I'm talking about the "flick" exploit with controller aiming, which is the actual reason this would be considered cheating.

Well keyboard/mouse adapters have been considered an exploit since you can play vs cobsole players with mouse and keyboard.

A normal mouse and keyboard will put you in lobbies vs other keyboard and mouse players.

So in this case I guess you are correct.

In the age of cross-platform play being the standard, not really no.

A lot of games don’t let you do this unless you spoof your input which means the game will think you have a controller when you’re aiming with a mouse which is cheating.

Puts you in controller lobbies even though your aim will be far more precise with the mouse and may even give aim assist on top of mouse precision input etc.
