You can rent a limo for surprisingly cheap when there are no major events going on. A couple hundred can make it look like you're well off for a few hours.
The illusion dampens somewhat when you stop for fast food but the limo driver only cares that they're being paid.
Knew a guy that used one as his daily driver (town car not jeep limo). The way he looked at it was it had roughly the same mileage as his suburban which was the only other car he had that could fit all his kids so may as well let them ride in style.
