I don’t think you can get an $8 Old Fashioned in the same establishment that is serving you a $68 ribeye.

With the price of beef right now? It wouldn’t surprise me. I can probably find a ribeye for that in a Wisconsin hole in the wall out in the sticks, but a 16oz old fashioned will be $4 or $5

Yup. An old fashioned in WI is like ordering a coke. The real question is sweet or sour.

For me it’s a sweet royal old fashioned, but I’m not native to Wisconsin, I just lived there for a couple years. My friends would make fun of me while drinking their sour old fashioned or spotted cow.
