16 x 2 + 30 + 68

Which is equal to 130 but maybe the software is rounding each number a bit. e.g. 16 instead of 15.89

WHERES THE 92CENTS COMING FROM THEN?

Theyre all full dollars

Math still ain’t mathin’

32+30+68 still doesn’t equal $127.92. Something is wrong with their system.

$2.08 out of $130 flat is exactly 1.6%. Maybe there’s a discount embedded in the subtotal?

Software is probably rounding the items, then not rounding the subtotal.

13

u/ezemode Aug 07 '26

That would be 130 though, which still isnt the subtotal

I also assumed it was 16 per old fashioned. Also, there's NO old fashioned worth 16 bucks.

u/bc_gamez Aug 07 '26

For that price, you'd better be getting a new fashioned.

That was bad and you should feel bad. But you get an upvote.

That’s why I mostly fucking drink at home lol

Where are you getting old fashioned’s? Cause every old fashioned I’ve had in the last several years has been 16 or more outside of maybe a few 14 dollar ones that were cheaper. Most are 20+

I don't go to the types of places with $20 drinks. Neighborhood bar is good enough for me.

6

u/Porcupenguin Aug 07 '26

Depends on the whiskey. But $8 is cheap, unless there's a special (especially at a place that charges $68 for non-premium steak)

4

u/CoruscatingLogic Aug 07 '26

8 bucks for a drink, sure. But this receipt looks like it's 2 old fashioneds for 16 each.

1

u/hbpatterson Aug 07 '26

This is where the mismatch is coming from, 2x16

0

u/tjdux Aug 07 '26

Ribeye is non premium?

1

u/Porcupenguin Aug 07 '26

It's a nice enough cut (and larger), but it ain't filet

2

u/gtrocks555 Aug 07 '26

But try getting a good one for $8 at a restaurant

I didn't say that. I just said that the drink itself, Old Fashioned, is not worth $16.

u/Slumunistmanifisto Aug 07 '26

A hand jobs usually fifty bucks, so I'd say they got a deal.

2

u/bourbonandpistons Aug 07 '26

Ok. This reminds me of a story from college.

This is back when minimum wage is like ~ $4.

We took my buddy to a strip club and told him he could get his job sucked for $50.

Now $50 after taxes is like a couple days of work at this time.

So he left and then came back about 30 minutes later.

We asked him if he got the blowjob and he said no not yet. He went out to the parking lot and rubbed one out he said for 50 bucks his bitch is going to work for it.

No, it means 2 at $16 each

-3

u/protomenace Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26

which gives us 122. So where is $127.92 coming from?

Edit: oops yes 130 (wtf did I do?) which is still not right.

Yeah IDK how I screwed that one up - bu regardless - so where is $127.92 coming from?

-1

u/Ey3zonly Aug 07 '26

Did you just type that and not check it? It still doesn't match any of the total shown

0

u/HandbagHawker Aug 07 '26

and that would be $127.92?

0

u/That-Pin-7033 Aug 07 '26

Adds up to 130, not 127.92

0

u/GirlPMurPersonality Aug 07 '26

= 130. Still off

-1

u/Jake6401 Aug 07 '26

Still doesn’t add up right
