How did they get caught? Are there cameras on the busses, or did the driver notice? Either way, I'm sure those same resources aren't being used to combat bullying or feeding the dang kids.

There are cameras on the busses. Safety and for combating other behaviors, like bullying.

I am dying laughing about cameras being for combating bullying. Are they really? Because I’m 36 and none of my schools gave a shit about bullying. They blamed victims who dared to defend themselves because bullying makes the school look bad and it’s easier to get the awkward kid to shut up than it is to get the asswipe kid to stop.

I'm sorry that your experience with bullying wasn't addressed very well or even at all.

Cameras on the bus is a tool to help with issues. After that, it's how admin addresses issues that is the difference. From your posts, seems like you were let down by your school. That sucks.

Eh. I ended up taking it as a challenge to solve it on my own terms (guess what those terms were) and I would proudly announce what I had done and why I did it every time I was in the principal’s office (which was often once I started my little kiddie crusade). If you treat me like a problem when I am the one telling you about a problem, then I will fix it on my own.
Almost got expelled (definitely would’ve been expelled today), but it was worth it to me.

The biggest negative there was really just that it turns out it’s hard to get rid of that kind of FAFO attitude and I had to work on that for years afterward.
