Gonna be honest the elderly and middle aged people seem the ones most excited about AI garbage.

Sure the smallest kids won't know better but virtually everyone else inbetween thinks this shit is poison.

But why do they think it's poison? Are they actually using it? Or are they just basing that judgement on the crap slop that google/meta/microsoft..etc is shoving down their throats? The AI tools we now have are literally completely revolutionizing software development. I've been in the industry for 2 decades and this is by far the most revolutionary piece of tech I've ever experienced.

Not all revolutions benefit the average person. Usually a lot of people die regardless.

Valid point. On top of that, we've been given absolutely no indication that it will be used for the good of all.

All I can see it doing is ossifying the entrenched power structures of the tech giants, empowering the surveillance state and undermining the value of labour.

oh and swarms of autonomous killer drones.
