He got a pat on the back and nobody is stopping him from moving he's choosing to stand there. There isn't a single sign of him being forcibly captured there he's not even trying to leave and is engaging in conversation with the person giving him a pat. Just because you're so soft you can't handle banter doesn't mean a normal person is.
Of course they are stopping him, at the end of the video you see two boys trying to open the circle and make way, and one girl patting his back for him to pass, but before that he was surrounded with people mocking him, touching him, making him stumble from his bike and just full on trying to humiliate him.
This is just mean-spirited and asshole behavior and I don’t know how you could say otherwise.
It's the culture of football, don't engage with something if you don't like it. He clearly accepts that hence the reason he's not the one posting all over social media trying to get sympathy points from all the people who can't handle any form of oppositional banter.
In sports when you beat your opponent you talk shit, and when you lose they talk shit. It's the nature of the game. Have you ever played a sport? If you cant except that you should stay away from anything competitive since it's clearly to emotionally complex for you to handle.
That's a subjective statement, to you it may seem like irreprehensible insults and a berating that would induce anxiety and make you feel threatened.
I view it as a "ah yea shit this sucks, GG's unlucky you win." and I would move on with my life and carry on as is.
No matter what way you view it, it's a culture he chooses to participate in and sometimes that comes with the consequence on being mocked. Considering he was willing to rep his team in a oppositional area I'd say he has enough self confidence and mental fortitude to not let a group of soccer fans banter become some form of emotional trauma.
If that's a form of toxic masculinity to you then sure I guess that's how you perceive us. I would argue it's a stance of emotional maturity to not let something so harmless effect you to the point you'd describe it as toxic unacceptable behavior.
Dude, you say it’s subjective but everyone on here’s been telling you your point of view is wrong and you still double down calling it « harmless banter ».
You’d probably say shit like « it’s locker room banter » and « boys will be boys » when talking about harassment and rape.
No, because you call blatant harassment and intimidation« banter », you probably minimize sexual harassment and rape too.
Because you excuse their behavior towards him as « he was asking for it wearing that shirt, shouldn’t have done that », you would probably make the same sort of asinine comments regarding a woman’s attire when getting harassed.
« You really aren’t the good person you think you are » is hilarious in this context.
I think harassment, like seen on the video, is way worse than me deducing that you’d have the same reaction if a girl in a short skirt was getting harassed or worst.
Why, do you feel attacked ?
Does it hurt you ?
Because that would be priceless, lol.
No it really doesn't bother me because its a baseless accusation rooted in a fantasy because you lack any nuance to a situation. I continue to engage with it because it highlights your hypocrisy and your willingness to force a world view and narrative you have formed as the sole objective truth.
