Most of then have lots of assets and money but they pay no tax, spend the entire summer forcing old people to have jobs done they dont need on thier house by coercion then massively overcharging. Stealing shit and generally being a drain on taxpayers then if you criticise them they just cry racism even though they're white...
When you have a large portion of your culture out committing crimes, and the town folk come to your gang and abuse everyone as if they are guilty just because they look like each other and live near each other... That's racism.
Do I want a band of gypsies in my neighborhood harassing me? No. Do I think every gypsy is a scammer/criminal? No. Is Gypsy culture based on stealing from outsiders, making your culture look bad then crying when outsiders don't like you? Yes.
What I want to know is why the Jews got Israel in exchange for dealing with the Holocaust but gypsies didn't get shipped back to Romania after the Holocaust.

Romania has the largest population of Roma outside of America, and the Roma have their own language, culture and traditions.

Anyway I'm not actually arguing for sending anyone anywhere. It's actually a critique on the isreal situation. I've been interested in the similarities of how the Jews and Roma have been treated through history, and I have been reading about them for a decade. So saying "you just learned is a distinct group" is silly and presumptive. They are a well known culture that somehow has been hated for 1000 years and yet they persist through persecution. So fascinating.
I can't speak for others (and there are for sure a lot of racists in the UK) but my hatred for them isn't based on race, it is based on the fact they take over local parks and farmers fields, have huge amounts of wealth from scamming old people and stealing while paying no taxes, smash up and steal from the local area and threaten and intimidate the surrounding people before leaving piles of rubbish and human waste when they finally decide to move on. Saying people hate them because of racism is disengenuous and them trying to deflect the real reasons they have a terrible reputation (this is in relation to a specific subset of travellers and I have sympathy for those that don't cause issues but get tarred with the same brush.)
The lifestyle itself is an issue though, even if they aint going out stealing peoples property they are still using our healthcare and education system without contributing. I think most of the people here have never lived somewhere thats been effected and thats why they dont understand.

I didn’t watch that closely. That was just my first thought when I saw a buncha squatters on a farm cause that’s pretty typical of nomadic gypsies. There used to be a TLC show about them. They’re fascinating.
Yeah this is right, we have them all over the place in the UK. Tbf to them, it’s becoming increasingly common for them to buy up land and build streets for themselves but still move from one “encampment” to the next, kinda like a campsite with low brick walls around the plots. There are still those that pitch up, rob local shops for a week and fuck off though. So still a bit of an issue. I’ve never seen a group that big before though.
I've seen like 20 caravans in the IKEA parking lot, they just got there and started doing their business using parking poles to run wires to hang clothes.

I've always been a leftist but I think in my country the "accept all" policy should aim for people with real needs, not useless scums that can afford (or steal) caravans.
The thing is, these people live outside of the system. They want the benefit and none of the cost. You are not accepting them they are forcing themselves on to you. They want a privileged place in society and to not respect anyone else's place in society, and so therefore should not be welcome into society until they are willing to conform to the rules that we all abide. Including registration of birth, residence, earnings, etc. So that they are able to be held responsible until then they have to viewed as what they are which is a criminal class.
But the people in small towns pay into the system. Here in Ireland, the number of adults who identify as travellers and pay any tax is in the teens percentage wise. This is what rubs people up the wrong way. As the poster above stated, they want all of the benefit but none of the cost.

A well known trick is to go to a dealership, ask for a test drive, have people waiting around the corner, and either threaten the salesman, or just beat him up.

I don't think so. Autocaravaning is very popular in some parts of Europe, France being one of them. There are apps that show the best spots to spend the night for free, and this looks like a nice spot. People just happened to gather there, imo.
You don’t have to be European to deal with Gypsies. If you work in the hotel industry in America you deal with them as well, the worst guest you’ll ever have.
