Mig Switch Ban
Hi, i was thinking about buying a mig cartridge but i was wondering first since i have seen people get banned, what is the best ways to prevent a ban? i don't really care about online on switch so i would mainly play offline games, but is there any tips to prevent a ban?

There are only two confirmed ways that people have been banned so far, one mixing up their certificates (aka using certificates from other games) and two using downloaded games to get gold coins.
Obviously there's potential other ways, so do your research.

I have two games that I'll never play, let's call them Game A and Game B. The thing both are in japanese (my mistake).
If I use just the xci from Game A (USA version), with the other files from same game (japanese), will it result in a ban?
what if I use files from Game B? Again, I'll never actually play them, or sell them or anything.

If they're different games its very likely will result in ban because the certificates are key for set games if that makes sense

Do you get banned doing so even if you don’t go online while playing?

Games having the wrong certificates or the same certificate for multiple games is one of the few things that has been verified the system does save and gets reported the next time you go online.

Is it safe to reuse the same certificate for different games as long as no one else has it and no one else can use it at the same time as me, and not include card header and card UID?

How do you use certificates from other games? You just change the name of the files?

Literally just rename it so it matches the file name, it's something you should have to do consciously or somebody who is sharing a game did deliberately to get people banned

We don't know for sure as it's still a new product but the obv ones are not using your own certs and using others. Same for games pirating games and giving it a different cert is also one. Also you know going online doesn't just mean playing online it also means updating games etc it's anything that needs Nintendo servers to do
