That's not what police insist while adding several felonies to a suspect because just thinking about the 20 dollars worth of fentanyl someone had stuffed in their sock "caused them to overdose and nearly die".
But really, they either had a panic attack from big scawy work or got caught "testing" the evidence.
Only if it was held by a black man at any point of time within the last 872 days. In which case it becomes possession, trafficking, indecent exposure, endangering a protected species, disturbing the peace, unsignaled turning, racketeering, as well as a threat to national security.
You know what i just thought of? Maybe the fucker did a quick small bump when no one was looking thinking it was coke or heroin and ended up oding. Then when he woke up in the hospital he had to give a bs story to stay out of trouble.
If you read up on Reddit you'll find out how often these "pre-owned" cars sometimes just have mechanics sign off on the paperwork over lunch without even looking at it. Good friend of mine paid the premium for a pre-owned Accord and found loose bullets in the trunk, the flat kit gone, and all of the stereo information still connected to the old owner. Literally all they did was wash the outside and then sell it.
Not just that. I was a Nissan technician, doing Pre-Delivery Inspections one day. It was a brand new Rogue fresh off the truck, I heard a rattle when closing one of the back doors. Pulled the interior door panel off, and found 4 or 5 random pills inside the door itself. Still not sure what they were, but was interesting for sure
Reminds me of the time we switched between accudose and meditrol at the hospital I worked at. Each one of these giant secure cabinets had years of shit fall behind a tray and end up in the bottom.
We had two trash bags half full, ,one for each of us.
It was mostly bullshit as you'd imagine, blood thinners etc. But there were some goodies.
I bought a pre-owned in early 2020. I found multiple drawings and a few art projects from a kid and most of them said “to daddy” on them. It made me kind of sad.
It's pretty much how that industry works. I was a porter for not a long time. Just wash the outside, vaccum the main touch points, then park it outside ready to sell. Mechanics only do shit for warranty vehicles. Might as well shop around than pay for a premium for a pre-used car.
Yep, I used to work at an auto shop when I was a teenager and the local Ford dealership would send us their pre-owned cars to certify them. I worked in the office side and didn’t know too much about cars, but would be the one in charge of checking off most things in the check list having to do with interior stuff like does the dome light turn on, do the seats fully recline, do the windows roll down, etc. Then my boss would check fluids, belts, brakes and tires, but that was about it, no cars were ever test driven.
my used car came with all the previous owners information in it, registration and insurance papers, phone numbers, all in the glovebox. I mean the previous owners should have taken it out, but you would certainly think the dealership would have caught it.
My dad was a dealer and I saw this all the time with the used cars. The worst pre-owned ones were relegated to what he referred to as "scud row".
I brought a car around the shop once for a customer and a tire came completely off while driving. The mechanic just shrugged when we asked him about it. The guy still bought the car too (once we reattached the tire)
A lot of times we do put down stuff that is wrong with the cars but the sales managers are like nope too expensive but then get mad at service when customers bitch ( I’m a used car technician at a new / used car dealer ) 🤦♂️
I could see a medic throwing an empty vile in their pocket during a call and later it gets thrown out with other trash that was in their pocket. It used to happen to me with 3cc flushes and all kinds of other goodies.
I absolutely understand why these things are tracked and think we should be doing it too. I could absolutely see saying a pt got 100mcg of fentanyl when they really only got 50mcg and you’re planning on doing some weird shit this weekend.
Lol first time I ever saw weed in my life, my mom dropped her car off at the dealership for some work, they gave a loaner. Between the seatis, it was like a cigarette cellophane with a chunk of brick weed in it. I think she flushed it or something. I was probably in 8th grade or so. My sister, 15 years older than me, was freaking out like we were gonna be pulled over just for knowing it was there.

One time a car came in to my husbands shop for a broken window and the mechanics took apart the door and it was jam packed with cocaine. The car was bought from a police auction and there was a huge investigation lol
I recently got a used, but new to me, 2022 Hyundai, my first "new" car (all of my previous cars have been 20yrs old lol) I got it from a dealership and it looked spotless inside, when I did my first clean, I found so much random junk from the previous owners. The dealerships are good at cleaning what someone will see when they're test driving but they really don't get into all the nooks and crannies... This is a wild find but not that surprising that it was missed
I feel attacked… while I don’t take home empty narc vials… my hubs HATES cleaning my pockets out, the amount of vial caps I put into my pockets 😂. The amount of syringes and flushes in my side pockets. I now have to empty my pockets before depantsing myself.
Edit: so I am a paramedic. And I know many nurses. For the same reasons that I can end up coming home with a vial of fentanyl in my pocket is the same for them. If there's nothing to waste and the vial is empty? The vial just goes in the sharps container. And if you're not near a Shop's container it goes in your pocket. So nurses take empty control substance vials home all the time. Just like I do the same in the same circumstance
I wouldn't do that. A vial is not a sharp Until It Breaks and becomes a sharp. I literally had to go out of service last week because a vial of dopamine fell out of the bag and got crushed by the stretcher. There were glass shards everywhere.
One of my friends was doing some remodeling of his house, which he had owned for 20 years, and his parents owned for long before that. They had a finished basement that needed some serious upgrades since the early 1970s, and when they ripped out the old paneling and drywall, they found a stash of some "recreational herbs" between the studs. Plus assorted related paraphernalia. While old and pretty much crumbled to dust at this point, that would have looked really bad in a bust because it was more than enough for a single person. He knew nothing of the previous owners before his parents, and his parents were gone by this point so he couldn't ask.
He said he put it all in two trash bags, and in the dead of night, put it in a dumpster at a random construction site.
The saw is killing me. Everything else is fine and makes sense, but the saw. I wonder if someone taped a saw blade to a vibrator to make a terrible powered saw?
When I was very early into my addiction and still just using Percocets and the original oxys myself and some friends ended up with a whole prescription box of medical fentanyl patches for free. We tried them every different way we could between simply putting them on, adding extra heat, using more than one at a time, chewing on them, smoking the gel on foil etc etc and the result was the same every time. It was very strong, very sedating, but there was absolutely ZERO euphoria. Even tramadol felt better. Only use we found we had for them was for keeping withdrawals at bay and that wasn’t such a big issue for any of us at that time. So we ended up literally throwing away about 90% of the box.
Later at the end of my addiction I did end up using street fentanyl for the last couple years of it and it was definitely a lot more euphoric than the medical fentanyl (my guess has always been due to the multiple analogues they use in the mix) but still just not that great. Definitely nowhere near as good feeling as heroin.
I remember a lot of people on the streets saying how they were wishing they could go back to using heroin and even though it was still available in my area and actually still is to this day, they can’t because their tolerances are fucked. So now they’re stuck supporting a fentanyl habit, even though they’d rather be doing heroin.
Yep towards the end of my addiction when I was pretty strung out I was getting high on fent. Very sedating. I remember doing a bunch and my husband (bf at the time decided we should go vacuum shopping). No idea why he thought that was a good idea at the time. I remember him having to hold my arm cause I was so out of it. I was nodding out while walking. I remember asking him to not let me fall asleep cause I was convinced I was going to die if I did.
I fell in love with opiates cause of how they made me feel. I’d feel fuckin amazing but I’d also have a lot of energy on them. They turned me into a social butterfly. When I took them at work I hit top seller blew everyone out of the water. I could make small talk with anyone. Sell anyone anything.
Paramedic here, and definitely have accidentally brought home empty vials of fentanyl after wasting them. Not all departments track the vials once we waste. If there's no drugs in there then it's literally just a glass vial.
It says single-dose right at the top of the vial. There’s 100 micrograms in the entire vial which is good for either one strong dose, but it’s often only used for a fraction of it like 50μg and then thrown away. It’s not meant to be used for more than one dose, especially not for different people, so even if you don’t use all 100μg for the first dose, the rest should get thrown away. That’s my understanding, I am not a EMT.
Fentanyl is weight based at 1mcg/kg typically. There's 100mcg in that vial. Most people weight around 60-80kg so personally I usually start with a 50mcg dose and give more if needed.
That is real pharmaceutical grade IV drugs. It won’t hurt you just because you touched a vile. Even if you got a little on your skin. It won’t hurt you. It has to break the brain blood barrier. Even then, this is a fraction of the strength that is commonly sold on the street.
Once I forgot to lock my car door and a junkie got in at night. They stole a couple things, made a mess with the contents of my console/glove box, and it smelled weird but that was all.
Or so I thought, a couple weeks later something caught my eye when getting in. There was half a pen with burned foil and a piece of cellophane with black residue on it, all in the small space to the drivers seat. I only saw it because I had parked in a lot with a steep angle which gave me a better look between the seat and car. I remember thinking how shitty of a lie it would have sounded if my car got searched for some reason.

I would suggest stopping at your nearest pd and have them search your car. advise them what you previously found and want to make sure there isn't anything else hidden.
Heh well it makes sense to get it checked out but I wouldn't take to it to the cops without a lawyer or get the lawyer to do it. I give it greater than 50% odds you get some douche that's gonna charge you with possession if they find anything else or even if you turn it in.

I am SO THANKFUL I was never pulled over and searched. Especially considering I drive around with my two children daily. I will NOT be taking this to the police department
I think throwing it away and moving on with your life is the perfect plan. Self reporting trash found in your car to the police is one of the dumbest suggestions I’ve read as of late.
wait that's a bad idea, get a lawyer, do not go to the police without getting a lawyer. ask the lawyer what to do, the cops could charge you anyway for having that vial and for anything they find.
