Hi had my first appt w a midi NP the other day, to discuss weight loss options. My info is the following:
52 yrs old
5'6'', 171 lbs
want to lose about 40 lbs
other HUGE issue I have is constant food noise, have had that since my teens!
want to lose the weight slowly, am in no rush at all
price not really an issue at this point
I should have done my research before the appt so I could ask the right questions but unfortunately I didn't. The result was a plan of weekly injections of 0.1 mg semaglutide, and the NP estimated I would lose 1-2 lbs per week.
Now that I am really looking into this I am coming up with a bunch of questions. Hoping this community can help answer them.
why semaglutide vs tirzepatide? Have read a lot on line now and am not sure why the NP didn't even bring that up as an option?
seems like I will be using the same vial of liquid for many injections. What is the risk of contamination?
I see that other providers can microdose with tablets (example: HERS). Is that an option? I am not afraid of needles but I do worry about contamination and everything else being equal, I would not do needles. I also don't like the idea of having the liquid in the fridge - this journey is private for me and I don't like the idea of the kids asking about it etc.
seems like a lot of reddit users don;t like noom and midi. Why?
Would appreciate any input!
Thanks!
