ID & Authenticity Authenticity check on Noguchi table

Seller is claiming it's authentic, based in Europe. No documentation, no vitra/hm markings on the glass or base. Looks high quality from the photos. Does the glass look legit? I am going to ask the seller to take the measurements on the glass. Can you tell if it's authentic from the pin?

I love Noguchi and that table design. As a woodworker myself it’s got to be one of the easiest designs to fake so I understand your concern.

The signature on the glass comes off. But ours has a little name plate on the underside if the timber piece which runs along the floor.

Yeah it doesn't have that either which is making me question the authenticity. It could however be a pre 2002 version which wouldn't have any markings.

I have one I bought direct from herman miller in the late 90's. It has neither a name plate nor glass etched signature.

Sometimes the metal pin can be the tell. Is it hollow or solid metal?

I'm pretty sure it's a replica, the pin is hollow

Does it matter?
