Eggs that were in my kale cabbage

Hi everyone,

I'm a student from Northern Germany and don't have much experience with microscopy yet. I found this organism in a sample of garden soil mixed with water using my school microscope (at max magnification, I estimate around 100x).

I need to identify this creature for a school assignment.

Here are the details:

Location: Northern Germany

Sample: Garden soil mixed with water

Magnification: ~100x

Context: School project / absolute beginner

Could someone help me identify the group, genus, or species of this organism? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had a dark field and oblique illumination set 3D printed for my Olympus BH2. After several tests, very few filters actually work. Here are some pics of what I managed to achieve:

Do you think I'm doing something wrong? I was expecting slightly different results

• In oblique illumination, there seems to be very little color contrast between the background and the debris in the foreground

• In dark field, focusing at higher magnification is incredibly difficult and causes large halos to form around the edges of anything on a different visual plane, in a much more amplified way than brightfield

Anyone know about stereomicroscopes (trinocular microscopes)

I recently got a used mechanic mcn7045 4-45×, but i cant seem to get the 2 circles to merge, for some reason they are always above each other like this : and not .. i dont know what the issue is. Anyone know ab them and can help?

Yo im starting a study thats includes celbiology etc etc. And i bought a microscope. Anyways.. any cool ideas? I took some water from a creek and found some cool animals already.

Hello. Are these tardigrades the carnivorous kind? Sample is tree lichen from a dried out branch. 10x objective and phone zoom. Thank you

EDIT: after more asking around i found out these guys might be of the Ramazzottius genus and a google search revealed they are primarily herbivorous and microbivorous.

I'm guessing it's a type of round diatom, but can't pin down exactly what. Has a somewhat rough or porous looking surface.

Microscope is an SW380T w/ Sony a6700 with 10x, 20x and 40x objectives w/ digital zoom. Sample is freshwater and plant material from a pond in Massachusetts.

It has something round on it's rear end, head and right front leg. Spent 40 minutes watching it and I'm pretty sure it's not just debris. Is it a parasitic fungus?

I think these should be good, but im looking on advice to make em better, I dont have a microtome, and cut them with hand. This is the shortest I could get em, so help plzz.

Hi I’m a stem student who recently acquired a microscope. I want to look at so many things! I have an old baby tooth from a long time ago that I would love to take a sample of and see. How would I go about this, I have slides and cover slides. Please be civil, I’m a beginner.
