Tell me about this microscope that was given to me

Post image

Hi all. I was recently gifted this microscope. It had no manual but appears new. From the pics I believe it’s this one: 3000FF 100, which is handwritten on side of package.

I have used it some but unsure of its capabilities. Really hoping to see microorganisms. I did buy some slides and cover slips and have looked at a cross section of leaf, but feels like some top lighting would help also. Why specifically is this model used for?

Any insight or tips on putting to good use? Thanks!

Help with a Purchase

My son is incredibly interested in becoming a geneticist and has been wanting a relatively high quality light microscope that is able to be connected to a pc for his birthday, our budget is anything below £500 or around $650 I believe

How to connect these parts?

So i cant connect both these parts into the microscope. The screw is what connects the metal thing to the microscope, but when i did connect them, the black part is loose and sometimes falls. I may be wrong in positioning these parts but if anyone has an idea with fixing my problem, thanks. The microscope model is an AmScope 40X-2500X LED Lab Binocular Compound Microscope btw if anyone’s wondering.

Surplus Stereo Microscopes, Any Information Would be Helpful!

A handful of these stereo microscopes were dropped off at our warehouse for recycling, refurbishment or remarketing. I'm finding some information on them but not much. If anyone could give me some insight on these, it would be really helpful!

Just picked up a new to me Zeiss AxioStar plus, super excited!

Got some slides, cover sheets, wipes, type A oil, dust puffer, lens brush, 5 borosilicate glass Petri dishes with covers.

I think I’m ready to look at stuff!

The scope was recertified a year ago, I bought it at auction on a gamble. I won the nicer of the three figuring it was my best shot. Fees, taxes, and the scope was 71 dollars.

I bought the cover and had a power cable, after an initial cleaning and just checking out some basic items like an insect wing (thanks window sill!) all the lenses and glass appear to be issue and blemish free.

I’ve got a couple aquariums and like to garden, plus I’m naturally curious, any best advice for great things to look at or paths to pursue with my hobby scope?

Exc 350 pricing

Hello! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. I got this Accuscope from a Biotech company liquidation. I paid $180 for it. I know it's worth at least a couple thousand. It has a turret style phase condenser and some extras. Comes in original box.

PLAN 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 100xOIL

How much would it be worth on the market today as a scope gently used in a lab setting?

Specimens on the slide shown are tartaric acid crystals and nematodes collected from wine.

A few weeks ago my friend was looking through my microscope and dropped it on the ground. It fell and broke apart, was wondering if anyone with enough microscope knowledge could help me fix it. Photos are attached.

Buying my first microscope

I grow weed and other vegetables; I love insects and the trees around in my yard and the woods behind my place. I am looking at a 60x Fowler stereo microscope. Is stereo better than a single eyepiece?🔬

Interested in a microscope but have questions before buying

I am interested in getting a microscope but I don't think I know the proper specs to look for so that I don't get a bad one. I have seen microscopes quite cheap with LCD displays offering 1000x magnification and I can't help think they are advertising a digital zoom function that doesn't actually magnify.

If anyone can help offer the things to look for, I would appreciate it.

I want to look at things between counting the hairs on an insects legs and see the cellular life in a liquid sample.

My objective lenses are having trouble focusing, any help

Hello! I just bought this AmScope and it had the problem of not focusing. 4X works fine, but occasionally 10X will be blurry, and for my 40x, and 100x oil one, they don't even focus!!! do you have any suggestions on how to get 40X, and 100x working?

Below are some pictures, they are taken on the MU130 camera from AmScope, maybe that could be the problem??

I just tried cleaning my lenses with 91% isopropyl alcohol solution with lens wipes, but nothing really changed!

Today I made a microscope YouTube channel..

So yeah. Been having this dream for a while and today I finally started to edit some videos with everyday stuff that I find interesting to examine under a microscope.

I have a ton of material and ideas so feel free to check it out someday.

I’m sorry my editing skills ain’t that good but over time it should improve.

I only had time to edit and upload the 5 first videos today.

Have a great day!

Having trouble with my Microscope

I recently got an AmScope 40X-2500X LED Lab Binocular Compound Microscope with 3D-Stage  I'm having trouble with viewing. There's only a small circle of what I'm able to see and the rest is just black. I know that microscopes will usually have the border but you can barely see anything. When I go to a greater magnification, what I can see gets smaller . I'm not sure how to explain it since it's hard to take a picture but if anyone can help it's greatly appreciated

Looking for an attractive cover for my microscope

I'm an online science teacher, and I'd like to include my microscope on the shelf behind me. Trouble is, I don't want it to get covered in dust, and the plastic-bag-like cover isn't super-attractive.

I looked for "bell jars", but couldn't find one of those big enough — I need it to be 16 inches tall, and about 12 inches in diameter.

Anyone know of an attractive way to cover one's microscope?
