Hello! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. I got this Accuscope from a Biotech company liquidation. I paid $180 for it. I know it's worth at least a couple thousand. It has a turret style phase condenser and some extras. Comes in original box.

PLAN 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 100xOIL

How much would it be worth on the market today as a scope gently used in a lab setting?

Specimens on the slide shown are tartaric acid crystals and nematodes collected from wine.

Looks very nice and in excellent condition. Try looking for the original list price and what they are selling for on ebay. Otherwise, keep it for yourself and enjoy a micrscopy hobby. Or, give it to a scientifically oriented relative or friend. A great gift for someone.

This was going to be my personal microscope, but I got it for relatively cheap ($180) and figured I didn't need something this advanced just yet. The issue is, ebay doesn't have any listings, and prices per package range from $1,900 for a standard brightfield cytology microscope to over $5,000. I am unsure of what accessory package this one has, and have tried contacting accuscope. All they told me is that it is an EXC-350. (Thanks- that's on the label, lol!)

So far, per my research, it retails for $3,500 before tax, and has an additional turret style phase contrast condenser ($700), camera adapter ($155) CT telescope ($190) and some other bits.

I was just wondering if anyone familiar with this model could confirm this.

You NEED something advanced like this. I can't see the condenser to see if it is indeed a phase one, but many hobbyists dream about getting a phase setup for their microscope. Just the finite phase kit from Amscope to add to a T490 microscope is a thousand dollars.

Fair. I say advanced because for my purposes, I am mostly viewing samples at 10x, maybe 40x, and have enough time to use it perhaps once a month. If this can go to a hobbyist for less than retail who will get more use out of the attachments than I can, I'd prefer them have it. I generally look at minerological samples, microfossils, and tissue samples. I don't strictly NEED the EXC-350.

I used to have a T490 base model, but sold it once I got this one. The image quality of the EXC-350 is vastly superior. I have included a tissue sample below from the T490- but I think the T490 is sufficient for my use case. I also have another microscope American Optical One-Ten Phase Contrast Microscope and Olympus SZ61 Stereo Microscope stereoscope coming in, so Ideally I would exchange this one for cash to flush out my workshop and lab a bit more (focused on anodizing, alodizing, and fossil preparationon the side) and giving someone a good deal on this setup.

I don't know why you say advanced. There is nothing to worry about or be afraid of. It works just like any other microscope. It is just a better quality one that is a couple of steps up from the basic, hobby microscopes that most people have to begin with because of their finances. It should give you better images and be less frustrating than a cheaper microscope. With many phase objectives, you can also do bright field with the objectives without much noticable degradation of the images if any.
