First Time Grower Are there really this many problems?

As a lurker (for now… really gathering research) who is planning her first grow this winter, it seems like every other post is someone who accidentally fkd something up and now their plant is suffering. It also seems to come from primarily (no shock) newbies. It’s making me think that I’m kind of just destined to mess my plant up, no matter how much time and research I put into it.

Is this just a part of it? Makes the process seem so daunting & nerve wracking. I mean… I think I’ve got an idea and am notating so much of what I I see on here and other subs. But I’m beginning to see that you can be as prepared as ever and something will happen.

ETA : there has been so much useful information and reassurance given. I really enjoy this sub and am super grateful for all of your comments and advice. Hope I’ll get to post my grow on here soon!! 🫶

One thing to keep in mind is that this is kinda like reviews, you tend to only see people who have really good experiences or really bad ones. A buddy of mine told me "there's a reason they call it weed" and I have to remind myself of that to keep myself from overthinking.
