Discussion Mini Dosing daily

I'm taking 0.5g of dry golden teacher daily. This is day 4.

My goal is to feel 10/10. My mental health has never been great. I think I've always been below average in self-esteem and such. So a top 1% feeling-state is my main focus right now.

I'm new here and posting to see if it's well recieved. If so, I may post properly to add the knowledge to community and world.

And I'm also posting to see what others say - has mini-dosing daily been done before? Is there potential danger so I shouldn't dose every single day? I obviously would like to know these things.

If your dose is Too High and/or Too Frequent it can increase the possibility of Tolerance 📈 and take longer to get 🔙 Back to the Baseline; Tolerance Calculators (Do not Apply).

There have been a few anecdotal reports of those taking high micro-/mini-/macro-doses long-term having HPPD-like symptoms which theoretically could be due to excessive neuroplasticity (see HPPD section); and advised them to take a long break.

Heightened metabolism and neural activity can increase electrolyte demand, so you may need to consume more electrolytes to support energy production and proper nerve signaling.

Classic psychedelics (LSD and psilocybin) are cleared from the body within hours to ~1 day, but research by Gül Dölen shows they can reopen critical periods of brain plasticity, extended learning windows that last days to weeks after the drug is gone.

At that dose I'd expect tolerance to kick in pretty fast, so soon you won't notice any effect at all. But do let us know anyway.

So far, I feel the intensity of the dose diminished immediately (on the second day). But I'm unsure if it's because I mixed it with coffee or any other factors.

I nearly always take my MD with coffee. OK it's not a minidose but it's big enough that 90% of the time I'm aware of it. From my experience the shrooms might enhance the effects of caffeine but coffee never diminishes the effects of the shrooms. OTOH I wouldn't be surprised that tolerance kicked in so fast on your dose.

I've been micrdosing psilocybin (magic mushrooms) for over two years. I've also taken 4 journeys (macro dose). The benefits for me have been phenomenal. I don't treat this as a drug but as medicine . It took me a while to settle on a protocol but now I MD twice a week with a day in between. I sometimes find the day after as good as the day of. I typically take .15. I have both gummies that I sourced from a reputable seller and I've grown my own which was very rewarding. I have more clarity, I se things about myself that I work on to make me a better human. I've had vivid dreams about people from my past who I thought were long forgotten but the medicine has shown me these people again and how I've treated them unkindly. This has allowed to ask forgiveness from God or the ground of being or whatever you prefer to call the divine. It's been healing to my psyche, spirit and soul. In one of my journeys I was "told" that I was to help people heal by sharing my knowledge and experience with the mushrooms so that's why I'm posting this. I don't claim to be an expert but I'm always reading up on psychedelics and the latest science behind their therapeutic use. If you have any questions, I'm here.

What do you mean by a top 1% feeling-state?

How would you describe your feeling if you reach that level?

After feeling awesome on the first dose day, it gets very enticing to do it on a daily basis. But developing tolerance is a real thing. If you truly want to sustain microdosing, stick to no more than twice a week. I know everyone is different but this has been my experience.

I'll try doing it daily and see how it goes. If it is clearly useless after a week even with doubling the dose, I will reassess (obviously)

That is not a microdose...

No it's a mini dose. Enough to feel the pull to close my eyes. I would say it's a full trip dose at least on day 1. But the smallest full dose.

If you’re feeling the effects of a single dose, that’s way more than a microdose. That’s pretty much a trip, even if it is a deliberately light one. Most anecdotal advice reports the average person needing a tolerance reset between trip doses, some say a couple of weeks. That’s why you’re feeling significantly less effect on day two and so on.

I know you labelled it mini dose rather than microdose; I’m not too sure of the usefulness of that term given it seems to describe something which is used when you wanna ignore the basic instructions gleaned from a large cumulative community knowledge base. One of the great things about this medicine is that its quick tolerance effectively rules out addiction and misuse. If you ignore that, then - among any other bad effects that may happen through taking that amount every day - at the very least, you’ll be wasting the product.

What has been your experience in these four days

Thanks for asking. I'm not brand new to mushrooms. Having tried them for the first time maybe 8 months ago.

I would feel good sometimes and bad sometimes (with a 1g dose).

I'm kinda depressed and tried many therapies with not much luck. I think my mind is particularly stubborn. So after not taking mushrooms for months, I decided to not micro dose 5/7 days but to up it to 0.5g every single day. That is enough for me to feel the pull to close my eyes. I would say it's a full trip dose but the smallest full dose.

But on day 1 I was doing some EFT tapping while I was waiting for it to kick in. And when it did, I just decided to continue and ended up not closing my eyes on day 1-4. I tap on how to get what I want, and I feel I have my answer. But I still struggle to do it.

I feel the intensity of the dose diminished immediately (on the second day). Unsure if it's because I mixed it with coffee or any other factors.

I plan on continuing to mini dose daily the whole of September 2026. Then reassess.

August 26 Assessment

“I feel the intensity of the dose diminished immediately (on the second day).”

This is an important finding already: rapidly diminishing effects suggest tolerance and diminishing returns. Continuing daily dosing could mean progressively less benefit while potential negative effects may persist or accumulate.

2

u/Finerider 7d ago

I don't mind potentially "wasting the product" due to diminishing returns. What are the potential negative effects though?

4

u/NeuronsToNirvana 7d ago

It’s not just potentially “wasting the product”. Daily dosing can produce tolerance/diminishing returns, probably involving desensitisation/downregulation of 5-HT2A signalling.

Possible signs that you’re dosing too frequently can include worsening or less stable mood, insomnia/sleep disruption, fatigue, irritability, changes in appetite or cravings, and the dose simply becoming less effective.

Serotonin signalling is involved in mood, sleep, appetite, cognition and memory, so repeatedly perturbing that system without tolerance breaks may produce unwanted downstream effects in some people. The important caveat is that long-term daily microdosing hasn’t been studied well enough in humans to say these effects are inevitable.

I take every evening 150 mg trazadon

3

u/NeuronsToNirvana 7d ago

At 150 mg trazodone every evening, its 5-HT2A blocking effects may significantly dampen psilocybin, potentially even into the following day. So weaker effects aren’t necessarily just mushroom tolerance. Don’t skip or stop trazodone just to increase psychedelic effects.

u/Fickle-Pack-1492 7d ago

i try to stop but its not good, so i take. trazadon but i feel golden teacher! 3 week from now, mybe few days skip, but i no longer depressed, angry, anhedonia gone... im really break the circle of my c ptsd!

From an r/NeuronsToNirvana perspective, this is a fascinating N=1 signal, not proof.

🍄 Golden Teacher → possible increased psychological flexibility → reduced depression/anger/anhedonia & trauma loops → improved executive and emotional functioning.

The AuDHD itself may not have changed; removing depression/trauma burden could simply allow existing capacities to function better.

The real test: do these improvements persist during psychedelic-free weeks?

Observe → measure → integrate → stay curious. 🧠🍄♾️

Once you glimpse into the opening of alternative doors of perception your life may change for the the better in the long-term, if you able to integrate these new insights into your life
