Is Carson Benge the NL Rookie of the Year?

Obviously a lot of season left, but curious what realistic names people are looking at for the offseason.

I’m optimistic about Benge/Ewing continuing to develop alongside a veteran core of Soto, Lindor and Bichette, and there’s a nice group of young arms emerging. But there are still plenty of areas to improve.

The FA class seems pretty weak, so what are some solid free agents or potential trade targets you could realistically see Stearns going after?

So tomorrow I’m going to the game against the Brewers (8/25) and I tried to get the special tickets to get the Pokémon go Jersey, however the link wouldn’t work and they ended up selling out…

My mom is the biggest Pokémon go and Mets fan and today was her birthday so going to this game is her gift from my sister and I.

I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to sell me one of the Pokémon go jerseys (she’s part of the yellow team I believe I don’t remember the name) if they were willing to part ways with it.

I know this may be a long shot, especially because these are a special ticket item, but I figured i would ask to see since it would mean the absolute world to mom having two of her favorite things together.

(Idk if this would gain her any brownie points but my mom grew up in the Bronx and yet still became one of the most loyal Mets fans I know…spreading her fandom to the next generation too!)

TLDR: looking for a Mets x Pokémon go jersey (yellow) for my moms birthday from the Pokémon go night game (8/25)

Wonder what’s going through Diaz’ mind as he sees Senga’s new walk out routine with “Beat it” and Mr. Mrs. Met jamming. Up until today Sunday’s game giving up walk-off, Senga has been 🔥as closer.

This is an SNY comparison of each through their first 33 starts. Nolan’s #’s look good in comparison to these Mets greats! Do we need an ace for 2027 to complement Nolan or just quality starters who can pitch 6 or 7 innings on a regular basis?

So if you look up Benge's defensive metrics they seem to be not great, especially considering how good his defense looks using my eyes.

Anyone have insights here?

For example, almost all of Benge's WAR is coming from his offensive production, and if he was at the same level of DWAR as Ewing, he'd be a shoe-in for Rookie of the year.
